Every project detail can be customized at a certain end and this help article is created for you to understand how you can add or rename or delete project data within your Serpple account.
Add Project:
To add a new project, Click on “All Projects” from the Sidebar menu of the platform. On the “All Projects” page, you will find the “Add Project” option which is present in the top right corner of the page.
By clicking the “Add Project” option, you will get directed to a wizard. This is the page where you can add a new project to your project.
Now it’s the time to enter relevant details in all the required fields,
1. Project Name
2. Website URL
3. Region
4. Language
5. Platform
6. Keywords
7. Add Tags (optional)
Project Name:
Add the name of the project in the required field. Use only letters and numbers. No special characters are allowed in this specific field. The maximum characters limit in this “Project Name” field is 30.
Website URL:
Add the website URL in the required field. This will help you to find the ranking position of the keywords in SERP. by identifying the SERP results that contain this website URL.
Region:
By clicking the “down arrow” in the right corner of this field, you’ll get a dropdown list that consists of 189 regions. Choose your region from the list. This is the region in which you want the tool to track your keywords’ rankings.
Languages:
By clicking the “down arrow” in the right corner of this field, choose any language by scrolling from the drop-down list of 124 languages.
Device:
Choose either the desktop device or mobile to track the keywords rankings by clicking on the respective icons provided with device names.
Keywords:
Add the keywords in the required field to track the rankings. Separate every keyword with the COMMA or by pressing the ENTER key.
Also, you can import keywords by uploading CSV or text files. You can do this by clicking on the “CSV or Text” which is located above the top right corner of the keywords field.
The number of Keywords will be limited as per plan. And the remaining number of keywords from the limit is shown below the bottom right corner of the required field for better understanding.
Add Tags:
These Tags are used to categorize the keywords to view and understand every particular tag in an effective manner.
By using the “Grid” option on the “Keywords” page, anyone can view the keywords that were grouped based on the tags that have been added in this “Add Tags” field.
Add the tags in the required field to group your keywords. Separate every tag with the COMMA or by pressing the ENTER key.
Note: This “Add Tags” field is optional, if there is no need for this “Add tags” field, then click the “disable” option found on the top right corner of the required field.
After entering appropriate data in all these required fields, click on the “Add Project” option at the bottom of the page. Then the new project will be added to your Serpple account.
Delete Project:
To delete a particular project. you need to go to the “All Projects” page, by selecting it from the side menu bar of the platform. You will be directed to the All Projects page.
On the “All Projects” page, 6 project widgets are presented with the project name and logo in the left corner of every widget. You need to click on the “Menu Icon” in the particular project’s widget that you are going to delete. After clicking on the “Menu Icon” in the top right corner of the widget, the three options will be displayed.
Among those three options, click the “Delete” option, and then a popup will appear in the center of the screen. The popup is displayed below.
Type “DELETE” in capital letters in the required field and click the “Confirm” option to permanently delete the project. The project has not been deleted by using words or characters other than “DELETE” in the required field.
If a project has been deleted, then all the keywords and the history of the project from the day added to Serpple were deleted. If you mistakenly deleted a project or need to recover that project’s history, then you need to contact us.
Rename Project
To rename an existing project, go to the “All Projects” page by selecting it in the Sidebar of the platform. Clicking that will direct you to the “All Projects” page.
On the “All Projects” page, all the project widgets are presented with the project name and logo in the left corner of every widget. You need to click on the “Menu Icon” in the particular project’s widget that you are going to rename. After clicking on the “Menu Icon” in the top right corner of the widget, the three options will be displayed.
Among those three options, click the “Rename” option, and then a popup will appear in the center of the screen. The popup is displayed below.
Enter the new project name in the required field and then click the “Update” option. The name of the project will be changed and this project name will appear on all the pathways in Serpple.
